5-Amino-1MQ
What it is
5-Amino-1MQ is a small, cell-permeable molecule from the quinolinium family. It blocks NNMT, an enzyme that is turned up in fat tissue in obesity and drains the cell's NAD+ and SAM. With NNMT blocked, fat cells recover their NAD+, their sirtuin activity and their ability to burn fat. It is not a hormone and does not act on appetite; it repairs the energy machinery inside the cell.
