Ara-290, Cibinetide · How it works
The innate repair receptor
Ara-290 binds the innate repair receptor, a pair made of one EPO receptor and the beta common receptor, CD131. This pair appears on tissue only after injury, stress or inflammation. The classic EPO receptor that builds red cells is a different pair, two EPO receptors together, and Ara-290 does not bind it. So it acts only where tissue is hurt.
