Mixing and storage

Injectable B12 comes as a ready-made liquid, so there is nothing to mix. It is a deep pink to red solution and that colour is the cobalt ring itself, not a dye. Keep the vial in the fridge, upright, with the stopper wiped before each entry, and keep it in its box or out of the light, because cobalamins are broken down by light. Draw with a fine needle into the fat of the belly or outer thigh, or into the shoulder muscle. A vial that has lost its colour or gone cloudy is finished.
