The schedule

Inject 2 mg under the skin each morning in weeks 1 and 2, 3 mg in weeks 3 and 4, 4 mg in weeks 5 to 8 and 5 mg in weeks 9 to 12. Take it at the same time each day. A shorter course of 10 mg a day for 20 days is the other common pattern.
