Cartalax
The story
Cartalax was designed at Vladimir Khavinson's Institute of Bioregulation and Gerontology in St Petersburg as the synthetic form of a cartilage peptide complex. The Russian patent describes the Ala-Glu-Asp peptide for joints, spine and connective tissue. Recent St Petersburg work shows AED drives ageing human stem cells toward cartilage, lifting SOX9, aggrecan, type II collagen and COMP. The same team showed it stops the inflamed ageing pattern of chondrocytes that drives osteoarthritis.
