| Mixing | Add 3 mL bacteriostatic water slowly down the side of the 60 mg vial (20 mg per mL). Swirl, never shake. |

Cerebrolysin from a 60 mg vial is injected under the skin. Start at 10 mg once a day for 5 days, then 20 mg once a day. Run the course for 20 days.

How it works: strength per mL = vial strength ÷ water added. mL to draw = dose ÷ strength per mL. Units on a U-100 insulin syringe = mL × 100 (1 mL = 100 units). Doses per vial = vial strength ÷ dose. 1 mg = 1000 mcg.
