CJC-1295, with DAC · How it works
The albumin anchor
The maleimide linker forms a permanent bond with albumin within minutes of injection. Albumin is too big to be filtered by the kidney and lives about three weeks. Bound to it, the peptide escapes DPP-4 and kidney clearance. The half-life goes from minutes to about a week.
