CJC-1295, with DAC · How it works
The liver and IGF-1
Growth hormone reaches its receptor on liver cells and switches on JAK2 and STAT5b. The liver answers by making IGF-1, the hormone that carries most of growth hormone's building work. IGF-1 drives protein synthesis in muscle through PI3K, Akt and mTOR, and wakes muscle stem cells for repair. It also feeds collagen in tendon, skin and bone.
