The ghrelin half: ipamorelin

Ipamorelin binds the ghrelin receptor and raises calcium in the same cell, which pushes the hormone out. In the hypothalamus it releases more GHRH and quiets somatostatin. It does this without raising ACTH, cortisol or much hunger. It sets the timing and strength of release.
