Dermorphin · What it helps
Less tolerance for the same relief
The practical curse of long-term opioid use is that the dose has to keep climbing. In animals chronically exposed, dermorphin produced higher pain relief with less tolerance and less physical dependence than morphine at matched effect, and withdrawal was milder. That difference is the reason the family produced close to thirty synthetic analogues. It is a property of the molecule's grip on the receptor rather than of the dose.
