GHK-Cu, Copper Tripeptide-1 · How it works
Rebuilding the matrix
The matrix is the mesh of collagen, elastin and sugar chains that holds tissue together. GHK-Cu makes fibroblasts, the cells that build this mesh, produce more collagen and more glycosaminoglycans like dermatan sulfate. It also tunes the enzymes that clear damaged matrix, so old scar is removed and new tissue laid down. In rat wounds this built thicker, healthier connective tissue.
