Glutathione · How it works
Recycling other antioxidants
Glutathione rebuilds vitamin C and, through it, vitamin E after they have quenched a radical. It works in a loop with alpha lipoic acid and NADPH. This network means one strong glutathione pool keeps the whole antioxidant system charged. Low glutathione drags every other antioxidant down with it.
