Men whose sperm stopped because the pituitary went quiet see sperm return in most cases when HMG or another FSH source is added to hCG, usually within 6 to 12 months and faster than with hCG alone. Testes fill out and feel fuller within 2 to 3 months. Men coming off testosterone recover fertility sooner. Some notice mild breast tenderness or acne as the testes make more testosterone and oestrogen. In women, HMG grows follicles within 7 to 12 days of daily use.
