Why it is for you

HMG suits a man whose sperm or testicular size has fallen because the pituitary signal is off: on testosterone, coming off it, or with low FSH and LH on blood work. The root cause is a missing upstream signal while the testes themselves are healthy, so supplying FSH and LH directly fixes it. It is used together with hCG, which supplies extra LH activity. It does not help if FSH is already high, because then the testes themselves are the problem.
