Ghrelin receptors on NPY and AgRP neurons in the arcuate nucleus drive hunger. Ipamorelin touches these much less than GHRP-6, so most people feel little or no hunger after a dose. Some notice a mild appetite lift in the first week. The ghrelin system also links to gut movement, which is why ipamorelin was looked at for restarting the bowel after surgery.
