It is given by clinicians, in a unit where the hormones can be measured, and that is how every human result on it was produced. The documented routes are into a vein or under the skin, and the amounts are worked out per kilogram of body weight and per hour, not as a fixed number of micrograms: into a vein as a single dose, or under the skin as timed infusions. The most effective pattern found so far is daily, eight hours on and sixteen hours off, which held the hormone response for twelve days, and the gap is as important as the amount. The fertility use is a single dose under the skin given by a fertility clinic about 36 hours before eggs are collected.
