KPV, Lysine-Proline-Valine · How it works
The tail of alpha-MSH
Alpha-MSH is a 13 amino acid hormone the body uses to calm inflammation. KPV is its last three amino acids, Lys-Pro-Val, and it keeps much of the calming power. Alpha-MSH works through melanocortin receptors; KPV calms inflammation even without the strong skin-tanning effect of the full hormone. So it is anti-inflammatory without darkening the skin.
