Lemon Bottle

The story

This is a Korean aesthetics product that travelled faster than its paperwork. It appeared around 2023 out of Seoul, moved through social media on before and after photographs, and was being sold worldwide within months. In March 2024 Swissmedic classified it as a medicine on the basis of its composition and its injected form, which it holds no Swiss authorisation for, and advised against using it. Then their laboratory analysed samples bought from several sources and published the result: the ingredients did not match the declaration and varied greatly from pack to pack, with one sample containing only caffeine and another containing none of the listed ingredients at all. In June 2024 the distributor SID Medicos added its own statement, saying it could not verify that the tested samples were original product, and stating plainly that the original ampoule is exclusively for external use as a cosmetic and not intended for lipolysis or injection. In 2026 the maker side published measured work on the ampoule used the way it says it should be used: on the skin, with a microneedle roller. The honest history of this product is therefore two stories, one about a cosmetic ampoule and one about what gets sold under its name.
