MOTS-c · How it works
Muscle and exercise capacity
Exercise raises MOTS-c in human muscle and blood. Given to young, middle-aged and old mice, MOTS-c improves running capacity, grip and gait. It tunes muscle metabolism and protein balance and helps muscle cells adapt to stress. Old mice moved and performed more like younger ones.
