Oxytocin Acetate · How it works
Calm and connection
Kerstin Uvnäs-Moberg in Sweden named oxytocin's role the calm-and-connection system. It quiets the amygdala, the brain's alarm centre, and lowers the stress hormones ACTH and cortisol. Warm touch, stroking, massage and closeness release it. The result is lower anxiety, more trust and a stronger pull toward people.
