Going up and down

In cell work the effect rises with amount, and it rises with how much HDM-2 the cells display in their membranes, which is the variable that actually decides the outcome. There is no human starting amount to step up or down from. In a supervised setting the amount would be set against measured response and against what the person tolerates, which is how any cancer medicine is dosed. Nothing about that can be worked out at home.
