PNC-27 · What it helps
Cells that will not undergo apoptosis
Most cancer medicine works by persuading a cell to dismantle itself, and most resistance works by refusing. Killing by pore formation sidesteps that argument entirely, which is the general claim behind the name poptosis, and it held in cells with the p53 gene deleted outright. This is the conceptual contribution of the whole programme rather than a result in one cancer. It is also why the group has kept at it for twenty years.
