PNC-27
In people
This is the one entry in this part of the library where the honest answer is that the work has not yet moved into people, and saying otherwise would be an invention. What exists is cell culture, animal work, and cells taken directly from patients and killed in a dish, which is called ex vivo work and is a long way from a person. What happens in the body is therefore known from the mouse: tumours implanted in mice were destroyed over about two weeks of dosing into the abdominal cavity, with normal pancreatic cells, breast epithelial cells and the development of human stem cells all unaffected. Two things follow from that gap. There is no established human route, amount, schedule or duration for this construct, because no one has established one. And anything involving it belongs with an oncology team, inside a properly supervised study, which is also the only setting in which what it does could be measured properly.
