Snap-8, Acetyl Octapeptide-3
What it is
SNAP-8 is acetyl octapeptide-3, an eight amino acid cosmetic peptide written Ac-Glu-Glu-Met-Gln-Arg-Arg-Ala-Asp-NH2. It is modelled on the free end of SNAP-25, a protein inside the machinery that lets a nerve ending release its message to a muscle. It is sold as a white powder and blended into a cream or serum for the face. It is a topical peptide, and it is a different thing entirely from an injected toxin.
