Thymosin Alpha-1
What it is
Thymosin Alpha-1 is the N-acetylated 28 amino acid peptide cut from prothymosin alpha, a protein made in the thymus and many other tissues. The synthetic copy, thymalfasin, is identical to the natural one. It lasts about two hours in the blood but its immune effects carry on for days. It is one of the most widely used immune peptides in the world, especially in China.
