Skin and wounds

Thymosin beta-4 speeds the closing of wounds by moving skin cells and vessel cells into the gap. In burn wounds it rebuilds the actin scaffold of skin cells through heat shock protein 70. Wounds close faster with more collagen and less scar. It also helps slow wounds in older skin.
