Tesamorelin · How it works
Brain and the GABA system
GHRH and IGF-1 act on the brain as well as the body. In older adults, daily tesamorelin raised brain GABA, the calming signal, and lowered a harmful lipid in the brain. Executive function, the planning and switching part of thinking, improved. It reaches the brain through IGF-1 and its own GHRH receptors there.
