Vilon
What it is
Vilon is a dipeptide, Lys-Glu, two amino acids long. The thymus is the gland behind the breastbone where T cells learn to fight infection and spare the body's own tissue, and it shrinks from early adulthood. Vilon was found as an active core of Thymalin, the thymus peptide extract. It helps thymus cells grow and mature, it raises SIRT1 in ageing stem cells and it slows tumour growth and ageing in animals. It is a tiny signal with broad reach.
