VIP, Vasoactive Intestinal Peptide · How it works
Calming the immune system
VIP lowers the inflammatory signals TNF alpha, IL-6 and IL-12 from macrophages and raises the calming IL-10. It turns dendritic cells into tolerance-building cells and drives regulatory T cells. Mario Delgado and Doina Ganea called it a natural anti-inflammatory and immune-balancing neuropeptide. It holds autoimmune and inflammatory attacks in check.
